Registering Farmers for Agricultural Support: Strengthening Food Security and Livelihoods

Building Opportunities for Refugee and Host Communities

As part of its commitment to supporting sustainable livelihoods and food security, Refugees Agency for Recovery and Rebuilding (RARR) recently conducted a farmer registration exercise in collaboration with humanitarian partners preparing to implement agricultural support programs in the community.

The registration activity was carried out following requests from two partner organizations. Well Hunger requested the registration of 40 farmers, while the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) requested the registration of 50 farmers for upcoming agricultural assistance initiatives.

The exercise aimed to identify eligible farmers who are actively engaged in agriculture and who can benefit from future support designed to improve food production, strengthen household resilience, and promote self-reliance among vulnerable communities.

Supporting Farmers Through Partnership

Agriculture remains one of the most important sources of food and income for many refugee and host community families. By supporting the identification and registration of farmers, RARR is helping ensure that future agricultural interventions reach those who need them most.

The registration process was conducted in a transparent and organized manner, allowing community members to participate fairly while ensuring that accurate information was collected for program planning and implementation.

Looking Ahead

Following the completion of the registration exercise, the finalized lists were submitted to both Well Hunger and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) for review and further action.

RARR remains committed to working alongside humanitarian partners to create opportunities that improve food security, strengthen livelihoods, and build more resilient communities.

Through collaboration and community engagement, we continue to support families on their journey toward greater stability, dignity, and hope.

A Shared Commitment to Food Security

This activity represents another important step toward empowering farmers and strengthening local agricultural production. As communities continue to face challenges related to displacement and food insecurity, partnerships like these play a vital role in creating sustainable solutions and improving the lives of vulnerable families.

RARR appreciates the continued collaboration with humanitarian partners and looks forward to supporting future initiatives that promote resilience, self-reliance, and community development.
